INDIANAPOLIS -- Multiple cars have again been damaged by rocks and other items thrown off the Raymond Street bridge over Madison Avenue on the south side.

The latest incident happened Wednesday afternoon around 5:15 p.m.

One of the victims, 60-year-old Debora Zimmerman, told police she was traveling southbound on Madison Avenue when she heard a "loud explosion." She pulled over at a nearby gas station, at which point she discovered a large object had struck her car, doing significant damage.

Another victim, who also called police but did not want to make a police report, said two children were throwing rocks and other objects off the bridge at cars traveling underneath.

The other victim also sustained damage to his car.

This is at least the second time this year police have been notified about vehicles damaged by objects thrown off this bridge.

In February, two unidentified juveniles caused an estimated $1,500-worth of damage when they threw rocks and tires at cars from the Raymond Street bridge.

The juveniles in that case were described as wearing black hoodies. IMPD said no arrests have yet been made in either case.

If you have any information about this incident, you're asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
