INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Animal Care Services is trying to find out who owns two dogs that attacked a southeast-side homeowner’s cat.
Mariah Arkins captured the attack on her home’s surveillance camera, which she said happened Tuesday at 6:15 a.m. in the 2100 block of East Raymond Street.
Arkins said the dogs came up to her property, took her cat out of her hut and viciously attacked her.
The cat, named Sweet Pea, is still alive and is being treated at the FACE Clinic. Arkins said Sweet Pea suffered mostly internal damage and some flesh wounds around the neck.
"I've seen wild animals do a lot less damage," Arkins said.

Arkins said the dogs were wearing collars, but she had not seen them in the area before.
Barbara Bellow, who lives across the street, has two outside dogs, George Kermit and Taylor.
"I worry about the children more than I do about our pets around here, because if that would have been a small child it would have been really bad," Bellew said.
Arkins said she wants to try and track down whoever owns the dogs.
