INDIANAPOLIS -- The suspect in shootings at two Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department headquarters has been formally charged, Marion County prosecutor Terry Curry said Thursday.

Damoine Wilcoxson has been charged with three counts of attempted murder and one count of criminal recklessness.

The criminal recklessness charge was filed for the shooting at IMPD's Northwest District on Oct. 4.

Police found 30 spent shell casings at the Northwest District headquarters, and 15 gunshots found at the building. Three vehicles were also found damaged by gunshots.

Two of the attempted murder charges were filed as a result of the shooting at the IMPD North District headquarters on Oct. 13. Curry said two officers were believed to have been targeted.

Police found bullet fragments on the floor of the North District headquarters, near where four IMPD officers were sitting. Investigators believe Wilcoxson could see the officers through a window. Police also found 16 spent shell casings.
