MADISON COUNTY, Ind. -- The Madison County Sheriff's Department has arrested a man in connection with a body found in a wooded area Sunday afternoon.

Detectives arrested James "Brady" Helms, 40, on Monday.

Sheriff's deputies responded to an area near County Roads 500E/1450N in Madison County around 2:00 p.m. Sunday after a body was found approximately 50 feet off the west side of the roadway, north of the intersection. The coroner identified the body as Billy Emberton, 35.

Police say their investigation led them to a home in the 1100 block of Church Street in Summitville where they determined Emberton had died last Thursday. They say Helms removed Emberton's body from the home and transported it to the wooded area where it was located.

Authorities say an autopsy completed Monday revealed no suspicious signs of injury.  Results of toxicology tests are pending. The cause of death remains unknown at this time.

Helms is charged with unauthorized disposal of a dead body and obstruction of justice.
