INDIANAPOLIS -- The FBI conducted an investigation at a home on Indianapolis' south side Thursday morning.

The activity began around 6:20 a.m. at a home in the 1500 block of Kappes Street near Minnesota Street.

An FBI spokesperson said the area is safe and people should not be concerned for their safety.

A pit bull was shot by law enforcement during the investigation.

There's no word about what the agents might have been looking for or if any arrests were made.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department provided support but is not directly involved in the investigation.
