INDIANAPOLIS -- A teenage suspect was arrested by police early Thursday morning after he tried to climb a tree to escape officers.
The suspect, later identified as a 17-year-old male, was accused of stealing items from the Meijer supermarket on West 38th Street near Moller Road.
Officers arrived to see the young suspect running from the business.
They gave chase, eventually cornering him when he attempted to climb a tree to escape.
The teen was taken into custody on preliminary charges of theft.
