INDIANAPOLIS -- IndyCar drivers Scott Dixon and Dario Franchitti were robbed at gunpoint Sunday evening at a Taco Bell a few blocks away from Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The two were at the Taco Bell at 3502 W. 16th Street at around 9 p.m. when two men robbed them at gunpoint and ran, according to a police report.

Police responded to the robbery and later found the suspects' vehicle. Two teenagers were arrested.

According to the report, the suspects are ages 14 and 15. They face charges of robbery and resisting arrest.

Call 6 Investigates has confirmed credit cards and Dixon's wife's wallet and ID were stolen. All have been recovered.

Scott Dixon's teammate Tony Kanaan said Dixon and Franchitti went to get food for other people at IMS when they were robbed.

"[They] probably went to the wrong part of town. ... You never think that would happen to us here," Kanaan said.

Dixon won the pole for the Indianapolis 500 just a few hours before the robbery.

Chip Ganassi Racing released the following statement about the robbery:

Scott Dixon and Dario Franchitti are completely fine after being held up last night by two men at a fast food restaurant in Speedway, Ind.  Thank you to everyone for all of your concerns about their well-being.  However, we will allow the Speedway/Indianapolis police departments to handle the situation and while they conduct their investigation we will refrain from making any further comments to allow Scott to focus on the upcoming Indianapolis 500.

"Where I come from, it happens every day," Kanaan, who is Brazilian, said. "If I were there, it would've been a lot calmer. Probably like 'Eh, take the wallet and go.'"
