INDIANAPOLIS -- A jury has found a Lawrence man guilty of aggravated battery and neglect of a dependent in the 2014 death of his girlfriend's 9-month-old daughter.

Corey Bullock was also charged with murder, but the jury was hung on that charge.

Court documents say 9-month-old Aiva McGee was abused in September of 2014 when Bullock was babysitting her for his girlfriend, Apryl Hammer.

The bruises got worse over the next few days and the baby quit breathing. She was rushed to the hospital where she later die.

Prosecutors have not said whether they will attempt to re-try Bullock on the murder charge.

A sentencing for his other convictions has not been set.
