LYNN, Ind. -- Police say a 22-year-old Randolph County man is responsible for a 2-year-old child's death last week.
On Wednesday, Randolph County sheriff's deputies and Lynn, Indiana, firefighters were called to a home in the 9400 block of South County Road 300 West on a report of a child not breathing.
A short time after responders arrived, it was determined that the 2-year-old child was deceased.
An autopsy performed by Randolph County Coroner Tim Crawford subsequently determined the child had died as a result of internal injuries caused by blunt force trauma.
On Monday, police arrested 22-year-old Joshua Ray Null, of Lynn, on one count of murder in connection with the child's death.
Null's relationship to the 2-year-old was not immediately reported.
Null was booked into the Randolph County Jail without bail.
