INDIANAPOLIS -- A man is accused of robbing a store on Indianapolis’ east side with a BB gun Wednesday afternoon.
Police were called to the Family Dollar on East New York Street just before 2:30 p.m. for a report of an armed robbery.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were able to quickly track down the suspect and arrest him. They also found the firearm they believe the suspect tossed while he was running from the scene. The gun turned out to be a BB gun.
The suspects name has not been released.
The robbery remains under investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
