INDIANAPOLIS -- A man wanted in connection with recent attacks on women in downtown Indianapolis garages was arrested early Sunday morning, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

A warrant  was issued for Anthony Jones, 25, last Thursday.

Police believe Jones is responsible for two incidents near a city-owned garage on E. Market Street and N. New Jersey Street early Monday morning.

The first victim told police that a man followed her from the garage around 9 a.m. and touched her inappropriately while she was going home. The suspect, later identified as Anthony Jones, ran from the scene before police were called.

The second victim told police she was sexually assaulted by Jones around 11 a.m. She was taken to Eskenazi Hospital to be treated. Her condition is not known at this time.

Sex Crime detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department determined that both assaults were related and issued a warrant Thursday afternoon for Jones. He is facing multiple charges including intimidation and rape.
