INDIANAPOLIS -- A man was hospitalized after being grazed in the head by a bullet Tuesday morning on Indianapolis' west side.

The shooting happened around 1 a.m., at an apartment near the intersection of 38th Street and Eagle Creek Parkway.

The victim then drove himself to a friend's house in the 2800 block of Corvallis Crescent, which is just north of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The two locations are about 10 minutes away.

The victim hasn't been identified, but police say he's in his late 40s. He was able to communicate with police and drive to another location because the bullet grazed his skull.

Police have no suspects.
