CONNERSVILLE, Ind. -- A man who has been on the run since last month was arrested after deputies found him sleeping nude in a Fayette County cornfield Wednesday morning.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff's Department, Patrick Allen, 39, left for work release in June and never returned.

Allen was found completely nude, sleeping in a cornfield in the 6700 block of West County Road 50 North around 10:30 a.m.

Deputies had received numerous reports over the past two days about a naked man who was attempting to get rides in the area and knocking on doors. A stolen Indianapolis truck was also recovered nearby.

When deputies asked Allen why he had been naked the past several days he told them he had been "partying."

Allen is currently being held at the Fayette County Jail with no bond.
