SEYMOUR, Ind. -- A Seymour woman is looking for answers after she says her puppy was shot nearly 30 times with a pellet gun.

According to Hayden Howard, her English Mastiff puppy, Jackson, was shot while in her fenced-in yard on Vehslage Road in Seymour.

Howard said she took Jackson to the vet on Monday after noticing several small holes in his skin. The vet pulled 27 pellets and bb's from those holes.

"I took him to the vet on Monday and they pulled over 27 bb's and pellets out of him," said Howard.

Howard said Jackson came home on Wednesday and is "doing good."

The investigation led police to the home of 44-year-old Tim Woodard. Inside the home, officers found meth and marijuana.

Police said the investigation will continue, but additional charges are likely.
