INDIANAPOLIS -- A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Indianapolis' northeast side Friday evening.
Police were called to Pendleton Pike near I-465 just before 7:30 p.m.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department a person was struck by a vehicle on Pendleton Pike. Police believe that vehicle then fled onto I-465.
The pedestrian was taken to Methodist hospital where they later died. Their identity has been released.
