INDIANAPOLIS -- Local police agencies will conduct DUI checkpoints across Marion County for St. Patrick's Day.
According to a release, the checkpoints will begin at 6 p.m.
If you will be drinking for St. Patrick's Day, have a designated driver, or use a ride-sharing service like Lyft or Uber.

The following agencies are participating in the checkpoints:
- Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department
- Indiana State Police
- Speedway Police Department
- Cumberland Police Department
- Lawrence Police Department
- Beech Grove Police Department
The checkpoints are paid for by a grant from the Governor’s Council on Impaired and Dangerous Driving.
Officials do not release the exact locations of the checkpoints.
