Police: Lafayette woman kidnapped by estranged husband found in Indy

LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- A woman who was kidnapped in Lafayette, Indiana by her estranged husband was found in Indianapolis Wednesday, police said.

Officers with the Lafayette Police Department responded to a complaint in the 100 block of Lori Lee Drive and talked to a man who was concerned about his roommate. Police noticed signs of a struggle in the house, and began searching for the woman.

The woman was found in Indianapolis, and taken to a hospital. 

She told police her estranged husband beat and kidnapped her from the house in Lafayette.

The estranged husband, Todd George, 52, was found in Kokomo, Indiana. 

He faces preliminary charges of burglary, kidnapping and aggravated battery.
