INDIANAPOLIS -- A man was arrested after police say he inappropriately solicited a 6-year-old boy for sexual favors while they were in the bathroom of a restaurant on Indianapolis' northwest side.

Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called to the Chinese Buffet in the 4700 block of W. 38th Street just after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

A witness said they overheard a conversation that took place in the bathroom between a man and a young boy in which he asked the boy for sexual favors.

The witness and others stopped the man from leaving until police arrived.

The boy told detectives he repeatedly told the suspect 'no'.  He was not touched by the suspect.

Christopher Hockenberry, 33, of Indianapolis was arrested on a preliminary charge of child solicitation.

The Marion County Prosecutor's Office will review the case to determine if formal charges will be filed.
