MUNCIE, Ind. – A puppy was found stabbed to death on the front porch of a Muncie home Friday.

James McFadden, owner of Princess, said he had only been taking care of the puppy for less than a year before he found her body in his yard in the 900 block of North Burns Street.

“Her throat had been cut and her back had been slashed,” said McFadden.

Muncie police are searching for the person responsible.

“People shouldn't be going around killing animals and stuff like that because who knows, they might do people next. You know it's just ridiculous,” said neighbor Roxanna Begues. “I don't feel safe period in Muncie no more.”

McFadden said others in the community have complained of cats also being stabbed.

“She was something special,” he said.
