INDIANAPOLIS -- A suspected drunken driver hit two cars and a dumpster before finally crashing into a church Sunday afternoon.

Police were called to the 2100 block of North Kitley Avenue on the east side shortly before 2 p.m. Sunday on a report of a vehicle crash.

They arrived to find 47-year-old Robert Peden in an apparent state of intoxication. According to the incident report, Peden failed field sobriety tests and consented to a blood draw.

Preliminary evidence at the scene suggested Peden's vehicle struck a parked car and then hit a dumpster, before running into another car and then finally colliding with the Christian Community Missionary Baptist Church.

No serious injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
