INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis SWAT officers are searching for a man suspected of shooting a woman in an apparent domestic violence incident Tuesday.

IMPD tweeted that domestic violence detectives were investigating a woman shot in the 3400 block of Brouce Avenue around 12:45 p.m. The address is near the intersection of 34th Street and Keystone Avenue.

Officers arrived to find a woman shot in the lower right leg. She was taken to the hospital in good condition as police tried to communicate with the suspected shooter.

The male suspect was reportedly barricaded inside the house for a time, but upon entering the house, police found he was not inside.

Police are actively searching for him in the surrounding neighborhood.

Police were also looking for a dark blue vehicle in connection to an unrelated shooting around the same time in the 3900 block of Shadeland Avenue.

According to police on the scene, a victim was shot on a basketball court at the Shadeland Court Apartments and taken from the scene in critical condition.

Police said there was no connection between the two shootings.
