INDIANAPOLIS -- Dozens gathered Sunday evening to walk in the name of peace after a violent weekend in Indianapolis that claimed more than one life.

Five teens were injured in two separate shootings on Saturday and Sunday, one of them died. And two other adults were killed.

The group walked alongside the Ten Point Coalition to two areas that were the scenes of deadly homicides recently.

The group gathered at the Pilgrim Baptist Church to speak out against the illegal use of guns and the number of recent shootings. They prayed for peace and for answers to the violence that they say has taken over their city.

“Too many of our young people are handling their disputes, their conflicts with violence,” said Reverend Charles Harrison. "That's what we're trying to address as Ten Point in trying to build relationships with these young people and put something else in their heads and in their ears. That they can handle these conflicts differently."
