COLUMBUS, Ind. -- Three people have been arrested following an investigation into the sale of Xanax-laced candy out of a home on Columbus' east side.

Bartholomew County Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team detectives say they received several complaints about possible drug activity at a home in the 800 block of McClure Road.

During their investigation, detectives say they found that people at that location were dealing narcotics including marijuana, Xanax and LSD.

Parker R. Broady, 21, of Columbus, was arrested Wednesday night as he was leaving the McClure Road residence.

Broady is facing preliminary charges of dealing marijuana and dealing in a schedule IV substance (Xanax) after detectives say they found drugs in a backpack in his vehicle.

Marijuana and LSD were found in the home when a search warrant was served overnight Thursday.

Darrion G. Phillips, 18, and Terrell A. Davis, 18, both of Columbus, were arrested as a result of that search.

Phillips was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of a controlled substance (LSD), possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of alcohol and maintaining a common nuisance.

Davis was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of alcohol and visiting a common nuisance.

A 17-year-old was also taken into custody.
