INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indiana State Police trooper was injured in a hit-and-run crash on I-69 early Saturday morning.

The crash happened on the interstate just north of 82nd Street shortly before 1 a.m.

State police say a white Buick Rendezvous with an Indiana “In God We Trust” license plate struck the left rear of Trooper Joel Flores’ cruiser before driving off.  Flores was unable to chase the vehicle because of the damage to his cruiser.

Flores was taken to the hospital and treated for neck and back pain before being released.

Police are looking for a white Buick Rendezvous similar to the one pictured below. The vehicle should have front driver’s side damage.

If you have any information about the crash please contact the Indiana State Police at (317) 899-8577
