INDIANAPOLIS – Two teens were wounded during a shooting that happened early Sunday morning on Indy’s east side.

Indianapolis police officers said the two male victims, ages 16 and 17, were found inside of a home in the 300 block of Jefferson Avenue around 2 a.m.

One teen was shot in the rear end and the other was shot in the leg, according to police.

Both victims were transported to Eskenazi Hospital and were listed as stable.

When officers arrived, they said a vehicle attempted to leave the area at a high speed rate. Once police began to pursue the vehicle, a male exited and took off on foot. The female passenger remained in the vehicle where she was later questioned.

Indianapolis police’s aggregated assault officers are still searching for the male, but he is not considered dangerous.
