Westfield police searching for bicyclist in connection with violent road rage incident

WESTFIELD, Ind. – Westfield police are asking for the public’s help to identify a bicyclist they say was involved in a violent road rage incident.

The incident, which police describe as a “physical confrontation,” happened on May 28 in the area of 161st Street and Carey Road.

The cyclist is described as a white male, with lightly tanned or olive skin, dark colored hair and a scruffy beard. He is approximately 40-50 years old, stands about 5 foot 8 inches tall and weighs roughly 190 pounds. The bicyclist was wearing wraparound sunglasses, a bicycle helmet and a red and black spandex shirt/short outfit at the time of the incident.

Officers with the Westfield Police Department believe the man may routinely ride along 161st Street.

Police believe they have identified the man in the photo but are still asking for anyone with information about the incident to contact the Westfield Police Department at 317-773-1300.
