SAN JOSE, Calif. - A California couple is accused of kidnapping a handyman and forcing him to do repairs at their sprawling mansion.
Jason DeJesus, 36, and Chanelle Troedson, 33, lured the 50-year-old victim to their San Jose home Monday morning, detectives told San Francisco's KCBS.
According to police, the couple beat the handyman, threatened to kill him and forced him to fix several items in the house over a six-hour span.
The repairs included a dishwasher and a broken door.
On Monday night, the couple forced the man to drive them to a relative's home in his truck to make more repairs, ABC News reported.
They stopped for gas on the way, and the man escaped and called police when the couple went inside, police said.
