DALLAS, Ga. - One dad wasn't going to let his daughter's Mitochondrial disease get in the way of her desire to be in a beauty pageant.
Because of her condition, McKenzie Carey, 12, of Ga., has limited use of her arms and legs and she uses a motorized wheelchair to get around.
Her dad found a unique way for her to compete in the "Summer Pageant Fest" and according to the cheers heard in the viral video posted to YouTube, she won the hearts of the crowd.
As her father gracefully lifts her from her chair for a special, moving dance, members of the audience were seen wiping away tears.
