DALLAS, Ga. - One dad wasn't going to let his daughter's Mitochondrial disease get in the way of her desire to be in a beauty pageant.
Because of her condition, McKenzie Carey, 12, of Ga., has limited use of her arms and legs and she uses a motorized wheelchair to get around.
Her dad found a unique way for her to compete in the "Summer Pageant Fest" and according to the cheers heard in the viral video posted to YouTube , she won the hearts of the crowd.
As her father gracefully lifts her from her chair for a special, moving dance, members of the audience were seen wiping away tears.
