LOS ANGELES - Several media outlets reported Saturday that Kim Kardashian has given birth to a baby girl.
Sources said Kardashian, 32, and baby are in good health. She is the first child of Kardashian and her boyfriend, rapper Kanye West, 36.
The girl was born five weeks early in Los Angeles. Kardashian was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in West Hollywood, Calif., Saturday morning after she went into labor, ABC News reported.
Taking a cue from other celebrity mothers-to-be, Kardashian was rumored to have booked a birthing suite at the hospital.
Rumors flew that Kardashian was in labor after both Kardashian and West were noticeably absent from the rapper's listening party for his new album, "Yeezus," at Milk Studios in Los Angeles Friday night.
Kardashian celebrated her baby shower on Sunday, and revealed the sex of her bundle of joy on her E! reality show just hours after.
"I'm so excited we're having a girl. Who doesn't want a girl?" Kardashian said. "They are the best and I know that's really what Kanye has always wanted. He wanted a little girl."
West intially broke the news that the couple was expecting at a concert in Atlantic City Dec. 30, telling more than 5,000 audience members to congratulate his "baby mom" and that this was the "most amazing thing."
Kardashian confirmed the news on her blog the next day.
It is the first child for both Kardashian and West.
