LOWELL, Mass. - Wearing socks to court is a good thing. Socks stuffed with dope -- not so good.
Prosecutors charge a Massachusetts man showed up for a hearing on drug charges with 25 bags of heroin in his socks.
The Lowell Sun reports 53-year-old Juan Antonetty was busted for selling drugs and released on bond.
He had a hearing the next day. But officers say they found the dope in his socks during a routine search at the courthouse.
He pleaded not guilty to charges yesterday related to both incidents. Antonetty was ordered held on $5,000 cash bail.
