INDIANAPOLIS - This time will never come again.

12:12:12 p.m. on 12-12-12 was uneventful for Hoosiers, but for those who are fascinated by measurements of time and space, it was a number sequence that won't happen again in any of our lifetimes and, therefore, worthy of note.

Hoosiers were generally going about their mundane routines as the moment in time passed.

RTV6 asked on its Facebook page how people were spending that moment. Perhaps the most clever and maybe a little self-serving for RTV6 comment came from Stephanie Elkin.

"(I was) sitting on the couch, Facebook chatting with a friend, watching the news at noon," Elkin said. "Happy sound check day, 1-2-1-2-1-2-1-2-1-2-1-2."

Others had touching memories of the moment.

"(I was) laying with my baby girl, listening to her coo," said Renae Sherrill.

Between the comments that nearly everyone would consider TMI, Ross Ebert admitted he was "trolling on fb," and John Pobalis said he "was eating a 12-inch sub and drinking a 12-pack."

Many were at work and let the moment pass without note, and some in other time zones were awaiting 12:12:12 p.m. on 12-12-12 with eager anticipation.
