Coroner Martin Avolt says the 19-year-old man died Monday due to blood loss from a self-inflicted knife wound.

He was found dead Monday afternoon at Owen Hall on the West Lafayette campus. The university's student newspaper said the student was a freshman in the College of Engineering.
