A Ball State University senior has won a chance to have lunch with billionaire investor Warren Buffett, which is something others have paid millions to do.
Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary Business Wire said Tuesday that a video put together by Jenna Marie James, 21, about the future of public relations won the contest it sponsored.
So James will join Buffett and Business Wire executives at the New York Stock Exchange on Sept. 30.
Earlier this year, a private lunch with Buffett sold for $2,626,411 at a charity auction.
James said she's excited to learn from Buffett and talk to him about her generation.
"Winning the contest to meet Warren Buffett is an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," James said in a news release provided by Business Wire, one of the investor's companies. "I am so excited to spend time talking and learning from such an icon. I look forward to not only gaining insight, but also sharing information with him about my generation and the future of communication."
James' winning video
talked about some things that are already changing communications, such as mobile applications on cell phones, as well as some things that haven't happened yet, such as holographic technology.
James is a senior majoring in telecommunications.
