Family members discounted a man's claim that an angry mob forced him to leave the scene of a crash Monday involving a woman who was nine months pregnant.Jody Lee, 38, turned himself in Wednesday, telling officers that angry people who crowded around his truck after the crash caused him to flee.Luis Benitez Acateo, the brother of victim Maria Benitez-Acateo, 25, told 6News' Ericka Flye he doesn't believe Lee's account of what happened."No, I don't believe that," he said. "Everybody tried to help my sister."Lee's attorney said his client got out of his truck and called 911 after the crash but made a mistake in leaving the scene because he felt he was in danger. As word of Lee's arrest spread, many were relieved, but the victim's brother said he has mixed emotions."I'm really happy because the guy is in the jail now," he said. "But for the other part, I'm really sad for my sister who is in the hospital."Maria was dragged about 100 feet under the truck before Lee stopped, police said. She is recovering, and she gave birth to a healthy baby boy in an emergency C-section the day after the crash.
