Former Colts Player Pleads To Confinement, Assault

Chijioke Nwokorie Sentenced To 2 Years Probation

A former Indianapolis Colts player accused of assaulting two women was sentenced on Friday to two years probation.

Chijioke Nwokorie, 36, pleaded guilty to felony confinement and misdemeanor battery in two separate incidents.

In the first, in August of 2008, Nwokorie was accused of inappropriately touching a woman he knew after they left a Broad Ripple bar. He was originally charged with criminal deviate conduct and sexual battery in that case.

In the second incident, in 2009, he was accused of pushing a different woman to the ground.

Nwokorie was ordered to undergo human sexuality counseling and perform 200 hours of community service.

Nwokorie played for the Colts from 1999 to 2003 before going to Green Bay for two additional seasons in the NFL. He also played college football at Purdue University.
