Former HS Football Star Accused Of Molesting Girl

Police: Mark Bonds Jr. Molested Girl 3 Times

A former Warren Central High School football star is accused of molesting a 13-year-old girl.

Mark Bonds Jr., 24, was arrested on Monday and preliminarily charged with three counts of child molestation.

According to a police report, the girl said Bonds fondled and assaulted her in early August, again last week and for a third time on Tuesday morning.

She told police that Bonds threatened to kill her mother and choke her brother if she ever said anything about what had happened.

Bonds graduated from Warren Central in 2004 and went on to play four years at Western Michigan University, where he finished his career as the sixth-leading rusher in school history.

Bonds' initial hearing is set for Wednesday.
