Former Youth Minister Sentenced In Child Sex Case

Tyree Coleman Gets 10-Year Prison Sentence

A former youth minister who was convicted of sexual misconduct with a minor was sentenced Wednesday to 10 years in jail and another three years of probation.

Tyree Coleman, 29, was arrested in August 2006 after a 15-year-old boy said Coleman forced himself on him.

The boy said the incident happened as he spent the night at the Temple of Refuge Church.

Coleman had claimed that the teen initiated the encounter and that he thought the boy was of legal age.
