BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - An Indiana teenager who is fighting cancer is getting support from members of the Bloomington Archery Club.
Club members reached out to 13-year-old Hannah Maupin after learning from staff at the IU Health Proton Therapy Center that she was interested in the sport.
Member Steve Chambers tells The Herald-Times that Maupin's upbeat attitude during her battle with Hodgkin's lymphoma has inspired the club and other cancer patients. Chambers also has undergone treatment for cancer.
Club members have taught Maupin to shoot a bow and arrow and are making a special bow for her.
