Brackett honors mothers of chronically ill children

IMPACT Foundation puts on TendHER Heart Luncheon

INDIANAPOLIS - Former Colts linebacker Gary Brackett hosted an annual luncheon to honor mothers of chronically ill children in Indianapolis on Sunday morning.

Brackett’s IMPACT Foundation hosted the 6th annual TendHER Heart Luncheon in downtown Indianapolis.

Brackett treated 150 mothers of chronically and critically ill children to food, dessert, drinks and the opportunity to spend time together.

“A lot of times, unfortunately, these ladies don’t have time to take care of themselves they are so busy with their day-to-day lives, their child being back and forth from the hospital and doing their duties as mothers and wives that they forget about themselves. So this is a day to remember them, a week away from mother’s day, it’s a great time to honor them in a special way,” Brackett said.

The mission of Gary Brackett’s IMPACT Foundation is to promote health, advance education and relieve the poor, distressed and underprivileged by providing resources and opportunities to all.
