INDIANAPOLIS - Brownsburg elementary students shared more than 20 pieces of art with employees at RTV6 Wednesday as part of their "Art for the Heart" project.
The project is a way for students to use their art to raise awareness about heart disease, but it's part of a larger service-learning initiative started by art teacher Suzanne Whitton.
Whitton teaches art at Delaware Trail Elementary, but the service-learning art projects are district-wide.
As part of the project, Brownsburg elementary students have shared their artwork with veterans, cancer patients, nursing home residents, state lawmakers and the United States president.
