ANDERSON, Ind. - A former beauty queen is urging students at her old high school to take a stand against bullying so teens don't have to endure what she did.
Miss Indiana 2008 Brittany Mason withdrew from Anderson High School at the beginning of her junior year because of bullying that had escalated to the point that she attempted suicide.
She went on to become a successful model and actress but tells The Herald Bulletin (http://bit.ly/17wrRfx that the emotional scars from bullying still haunt her.
Mason returned to the high school this week for the first time in 10 years and urged students to report bullies. She also hosted a charity concert to raise money for an anonymous hotline that students can call if they're being bullied.
