INDIANAPOLIS - A 13-year-old Indianapolis boy has created a special project to honor the city's fallen police officers.
Tony Wooten, a Franklin Township Middle School East student, created a memorial at IMPD's East District headquarters to honor Indianapolis' fallen officers.
Wooten also designed a display to give special recognition to the East District officers of the month.
These projects are all part of Wooten's efforts to become an Eagle Scout.
He's the first Eagle Scout in his family, and he's the son of an IMPD officer.
Wooten's projects coincide with this year's Police Week, which began Tuesday with the annual Blue Mass.
