LUFKIN, Texas - Posting a picture on Facebook helped one Texas woman reconnect with her biological son, 22 years after she gave him up for adoption.
Cherie Alvis gave up her son, Clark, for adoption when she was just 17-years-old. He got sick and she could no longer take care of him, RTV6 affiliate KGTV reports.
A simple Facebook post with a picture of him helped her track him down. Four days after putting up the post, he responded, "Here I am mom."
Clark Alldridge, 22, said he is fine with Alvis' tough decision.
"I feel like everybody has to make hard choices at one point and some are harder than others," he said.
Alvis also has two other children, a son who lives in Conroe Texas and a daughter who is in the U.S. Navy and stationed in San Diego.
