INDIANAPOLIS - A record number of animals at Indianapolis Animal Care and Control are finding new homes.
On Saturday, 55 animals were adopted, including 31 dogs and 24 cats. Officials said It’s all thanks to a lower adoption fee of only $10 per animal.
IACC received a grant that has allowed them to offer the animals at the low rate. The rate will last until the money runs out.
IACC officials posted pictures to their Facebook page of an entirely empty cat room because so many cats had been adopted.
The staff was taking advantage of the empty room to get some deep cleaning done.
IACC is located in the 2600 block of South Harding Street.
