INDIANAPOLIS - One family had an unexpected reunion at the Pacers game Sunday night.
Two brothers, Aaron and Brandon Rector, were brought to the court during the second quarter of the game, thinking they were only going to participate in a half-court shooting contest.
As the contest wrapped up -- to the brothers' surprise -- officials with the Pacers organization brought out their younger brother, Justin, who had been serving in Afghanistan on and off for about three years.
Justin had been on a nine-month deployment and wasn't scheduled to ship out until March 7, ABC News reported.
The family was treated to dinner and finished watching the game courtside.
"We're just ecstatic that he's home and safe," Aaron said. "To see him in the flesh and know he's home, we're just so happy."
