Volunteers deliver food, water to stranded motorists

Good samaritans help drivers in need

BENSALEM, Pa. - About 100 vehicles stuck on a Pennsylvania highway for eight hours Friday because of snow during their evening commute got some help from their neighbors.

Volunteers carrying food and drinks went from car to car, giving a much-needed boost in spirits and some nourishment to stranded motorists.

People came to the motorists from all directions, delivering pizza, burgers, pretzels, water and chocolate to weary travelers.

The volunteers said they were just trying to help make the best of a bad situation.
