Residents of a Crossmann community near Columbus are keeping a close watch as archaeologists excavate an unmarked graveyard in their housing subdivision.
Authorities believe that the site is a family burial yard used in the 1800s.
The experts initially thought that only three people were buried there, but they now suspect there may be as many as 10 graves.
Those who live in Shadow Creek Farms fear that the graves may lower their property values.
"I think they (Crossmann) should have at least written us a letter and told us before we bought the house that there was possibly a cemetery out here," Lisa Hobson said.
Crossmann recently has been under fire from customers complaining about shoddy workmanship and poor customer service. But the builder's top officer has said that the company is taking steps to prevent future problems.
The state attorney general is looking into the complaints.
