Hoosiers Help Katrina Victims

When watching coverage of the destruction of Hurricane Katrina, it is hard to fathom each picture of a toppled home or flooded residence represents a family that is displaced.

While Indiana may be thousands of miles away from the aftermath, there is still plenty we can do to help. That's why RTV6 teamed up with the Red Cross and Emmis Communications to encourage a call to action.

On Thursday, the Hurricane Relief drive let people donate by phone, in person on Monument Circle, or online. The phone and Monument Circle collections ended at 6:30 p.m., but people still can donate to the Red Cross online.
