Snack Cake Company Could Go Out Of Business

Snack-cake company Hostess Brands, Inc., announced Wednesday that it may soon go out of business.

Company officials said they considered shutting down all Hostess factories after filing bankruptcy in January and may move forward if the company can’t emerge from bankruptcy protection.

Hostess operates factories in 21 Indiana cities, employing more than 850 Hoosiers, including 340 employees in Indianapolis and 230 in Columbus.

Company officials filed a notice with the state and said the factories could begin closing in 60 days.
