Ind.-Based Fraternities, Sororities Ranked Among Nation's Best

From charitable contributions to powerful alumni, several Indiana-based Greek organizations have been named among the top in the nation.Newsweek and The Daily Beast just released lists of the 25 top fraternities and 25 top sororities.For the fraternities, analysts considered the number of active collegiate chapters, the amount of money donated to nonprofit groups and the number of alumni who are currently members of the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives, as well as the alumni, if any, who became president.The Indiana-based fraternities on the list are:
4. Theta Chi based in Indianapolis
6. Alpha Epsilon Pi based in Indianapolis
11. Delta Tau Delta based in Fishers
14. Lambda Chi Alpha based in Indianapolis
16. Tau Kappa Epsilon based in Indianapolis
18. Alpha Tau Omega based in Indianapolis
19. Sigma Alpha Mu based in Indianapolis
25. Delta Upsilon based in Indianapolis
For the sororities, analysts looked at the number of active collegiate chapters, the number of Twitter followers and Facebook fans to measure alumni and member interest and the amount of money donated to nonprofit groups.The Indiana-based sororities on the list are:
